This Billing Policy explains how subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and payments work for CounselDebates.
1. Membership access
CounselDebates offers paid membership plans that unlock additional access and usage. Features and limits may vary by membership tier.
Your access begins once your payment is successfully processed.
2. Payment methods
We may accept payment through one or more of the following:
- credit or debit card
- Stripe-powered checkout
- Aurpay-supported crypto payments
- other supported payment methods shown at checkout
Available payment methods may change from time to time.
3. Recurring subscriptions
If you purchase a recurring membership, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before renewal.
By subscribing, you authorize us or our payment processors to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees, plus any applicable taxes or processing charges disclosed at checkout.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your membership at any time through your account billing area.
When you cancel:
- your subscription will remain active through the end of the current paid billing period
- you will not be charged for the next renewal cycle
- partial periods are generally not prorated
5. Refunds
Unless otherwise required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable once charged.
We may, at our discretion, review refund requests in cases involving:
- duplicate charges
- clear billing errors
- technical failure that prevented access for an extended period
Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund.
For billing help, contact [billing@counseldebates.com].
6. Failed or declined payments
If a renewal payment fails, we may:
- retry the payment method on file
- suspend or limit account access
- downgrade access until payment is resolved
We are not responsible for fees charged by your bank, card issuer, wallet provider, or payment service.
7. Price changes
We may change subscription pricing in the future. If we do, updated pricing will apply to future billing cycles, and we may provide notice before the change takes effect where required.
8. Taxes
Prices may not include taxes unless stated otherwise. Where applicable, taxes may be added at checkout.
9. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your payment information current and for reviewing your account activity for unauthorized charges.
